These people called my husband and told him he won a free gift certificate back in February if he signed up for magazines. I looked at our bank statement and they have been charging $39.90 every month since then. I called today and tried to speak with a supervisor and I got a very rude and ignorant person with the last name Montgomery am he explained to me that we are unable to get out of a contract and that it is binding and a legal matter. I asked to hear the phone call and he said he couldn't release the information to me. I then spoke with his supervisor Sam Miller and Sam states to me several times that he was trying to assist me and that I was being rude. I stated my husband and I don't want this and we wanted it cancelled. He said my husband entered into a binding and legal agreement. He also sated that they will send us to collections and it will affect out credit. I asked him to play the recorded call for me as I am have worked in call centers for almost 6 years and I know this can be done. He stated that he was only going to play the recorded call for me if I agreed to make the payments. After arguing for several minutes he played part of the call and it was the only part where he gave the card info and agreed to the magazines. I stated several times I wanted to hear the entire call where they promised the gift certificate and he refused and said it didn't matter they had what they needed to make a legal and binding agreement. I stated I would be getting an attorney involved and he became very hostile and aggressive with me. I ended the phone call and began looking things up online about the company. Help please??
