Dear Sirs,
ON MAY 28TH, 2013, I CONTACTED COLONIAL HOME SERVICE, THE COMPANY I ENTERED IN CONTRACT WITH FOR THREE YEARS TO COVER MY APPLIANCES. ON THIS DAY I PLACED A SERVICE CALL FOR MY CENTRAL A/C.
I WAS LEFT WITHOUT A/C SERVICE FOR 10 DAYS. THIS INCLUDES 2 DAYS OF RECEIVING 4 EMAILS (attached) OF OUTDATED CONTACTS FOR SERVICE CONTRACTORS ASSIGNED TO MY CLAIM.
AFTER SEVERAL DAYS, PETER BRIGGS COOLING ((954) 882-6512 SHOWED UP TO SERVICE MY A/C. I HAD TO PAY THEM FOR TWO SERVICE VISITS TO CORRECT THE SAME PROBLEM. ON THE SECOND VISIT THEY TOLD COLONIAL THAT THE COMPRESSOR WAS DEAD.
I CONTACTED PETER BRIGGS COOLING TO LET THEM KNOW I SOUGHT A SECOND OPINION AND THEIR DIAGNOSTIC OF THE COMPRESSOR WAS INCORRECT AND THEY NEVER RETURNED. I ALSO CALLED COLONIAL AND WAS TOLD BY COLONIAL'S REPRESENTATIVE MICHAEL THAT MY SERVICE CLAIM WOULDN'T BE HONORED.
ON 6/26/2013 I RECEIVED A VOICE MAIL MESSAGE FROM MORRIS/COLONIAL. I CALLED BACK, SPOKE TO ADAM, EXPLAINED I WAS RETURNING MR MORRIS'S CALL AND HE HAD ME ON HOLD FOR 1/2 HOUR AND SAID MR MORRIS WAS NOT AVAILABLE TO ANSWER THE PHONE AND TOOK MESSAGE FOR A CALL BACK.
WHEN I JOINED COLONIAL, THEY HAD A HUGE ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN TO ATTRACT CUSTOMERS IN FLORIDA BUT EVERY TIME I SEEK SERVICE, COLONIAL DOES NOT HAVE THE RESOURCES AND ASKS ME TO FIND MY OWN SERVICE PROVIDER (FOR ADDITIONAL REFERENCE YOU MAY CONTACT RACHEL FROM KENDALL PLUMBING AT 305-662-8863 AND 305-298-6213) AND PAY MYSELF AND WAIT FOR A REFUND, AND THEN THEY TRY TO FIND ALL SORT OF EXCUSES NOT TO REFUND MY MONIES.
LAST YEAR I PLACED A COMPLAINT WITH BBB ABOUT THE TERRIBLE SERVICE I RECEIVED ON A PLUMBING ISSUE. THIS IS THE SECOND COMPLAINT ON EVEN WORST SERVICE.
I GIVE PERMISSION TO CONSUMER ACTION TO BROADCAST MY COMPLAINT AND CONTACT ME FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS ISSUE IN ORDER TO PREVENT HARDSHIP TO OTHER CONSUMERS WHO LIKE ME, PAY ALL DUES AND RECEIVE POOR SERVICE OR NONE AT ALL.

PS.. I PLACED A SERVICE CALL FOR THE KITCHEN COOKTOP ON 6/22/2013 AND HAVE NOT EVEN HEARD BACK.
