I recently came home to help my father with his business, he is dealing with financial difficulty. His previous bookkeeper no longer works for him. He has stated on many occasions he needs to figureout where his money is going. As I reveiwed his transaction history this company has taken out over 30,000 in a little over a year. He has never used there scanner, or processing machine,he only tried it once charging one dollar approximately 2 years ago. The largest amount taken at one time was $7,600. He has a average of 6 withdraws a month averaging between $50 to $200, and usually one large one. He also gets a 20 dollar charge monthly from a description called Merch fee, and a monthly charge of 28 dollars for another credit card processing company auth net/ gateway and another 3 dollar charge monthly similar. My father has been so stressed with nothing left after paying employees only to find out this company has been taking his money. Can someone please explain to me how it could be at all possible a company can keep getting away with this to that extent, a possible list of all other names it goes by or other sister companies and please tell me the first steps to take when dealing with this. This is a bit more then the average 300 i here they fraudulently take. Does he need a lawyer? Should he sue for damages? If he went straight to the bank first would they credit that amount like they had for others. Or should hecontact this company first.
