We paid Nationwide Pools, Inc. for construction of an in-ground pool at our home. The pool, thankfully, was completed in December 2012, however, we have yet to have the final building inspection as per required by the building permit issued through Pasco County, Florida. The permit expired on 5/16/13. I've have contacted the county permitting office and now must "take over" as contractor and "fire" Nationwide Pools". While this seems to be our only recourse to completing the requirements of the permitting and avoiding fines, I am not comfortable releasing Nationwide Pools from their obligation to fulfull their contract to complete the job. I am looking for any advice as I move forward to complete the requirements as set by Pasco County Florida.
