I had an ongoing issue with this company for a couple of months prior, as I had made three Western Union payments within a very short period of time. The first agent, Betty, at first acknowledged receiving all three. About a week later, I started getting collection calls, stating that I had only made two. After numerous faxes with proof of payment being sent, the calls became threatening. I sent the copies by Priority Mail with signature confirmation, and the tracking came back as delivered. The calls continued and I deposited the disputed amount ($489) into an attorney escrow account until this was resolved. Unfortunately, they saw fit to repossess the vehicle. After the repossession (I left the vehicle in a mutually agreeable area after speaking to the repo agent from Rebello), neither my husband (primary) nor myself ever received the required Notice of Right to Cure Default and Redeem or any other paperwork required by the State of California, which requires also separate notice to primary borrower and any co-buyers. I could see possibly one not getting to us, but neither of us received anything, other than the Repossession Report from Rebello. Even if there is no right to redeem, California code requires this notice to be sent with explanation as to why it would not be redeemable. Apparently, the vehicle was sold, as my husband received a check from A-L for $143 as "credit balance/refund".
