I got a call from a private number. A guy stated I was approved for a grant from the state that i applied for 3 months ago, which I told him I do not remember applying for a grant at all. Everytime I asked a question, he would interrupt, saying it wasn't a sales/telemarketing call, I told him I would not verify anything over the phone not knowing who I was speaking with. I told him to give me information and I will investigate and send it to an attorney for investigation, pending the investigation, I would call back or comply. He stated it was ligit and no reason to go to such lenghts. I stated "Please understand, I am not implying that you are scamming, however, in this era, one can never be to cautious and I do not share any information with any entity for any reason that I have no knowledge of". he proceeded to tell me the call was being monitored and recorded, which was not disclosed until I told him I wouldn't verify or give any information at all, not at the beginning of the call. He said the company name was usfinancial resources and the contact number for them is 800-558-0064, however they would not be able to help me as they are customer service and can't set me up with any program as he is asking about. After reading the reviews, it is falling in line with other complaints.
