I contacted this company about a vacation rental. She emailed me back and forth and finally said that the money should be wired to her because she was out of town. After wiring the money, we received a confirmation letter. Then a few days later, VRBO emailed again, asking if we still were interested in renting the house. They said they had not been the one emailing, and that they must have been hacked.
