ACR consultants were hired as medical office billing consultants. They introduced themselves as professionals but failed to say they were mother and daughter. This should have been my husbands first warning. They appeared to be quite knowledgeable in their field and knew things only like kind professionals would know. Tom's front desk starting noticing a lot of inquiries by patients as to why they had not been billed and that our receipts had noticeably declined. This scam company were hired on a salary not percentage basis so they had nothing to lose by not submitting claims. After a little investigation on my own I found out that they had scammed other doctors' offices to the point of bankruptcy and the IRS getting involved for failure to pay taxes. I have further been told by the investigating company that there have been several court proceedings against the mother for failure to pay restitution and false representation. If there are other medical offices that are using this service terminate your contract immediately and watch your back, these ladies are professional conartists.
