I was robo-called twice from them. I answered the second call and talked to a lady. She said I was referred to them or they found my name online regarding handyman work. She said the company was a service that matched jobs from banks with local professionals that could do work. She mentioned there could be 2 or 3 jobs a week. After I gave her my zip code she said there was about 5 months worth of work in my area.

In order to work, banks demanded a background check and I gave them some of my information and was directed to a site to enter a "profile" and "register" with my information and skills and type of work. I paid with an AMEX $99 for the background check.

I received a few emails welcoming me, telling me to register, and telling my the background check should be complete. I was to receive work requests the next day. I received an email for three jobs that were not from banks but individuals. After using Google to search the email address and names, I could not locate anyone in my area. I did find the site www.scambook.com had a previous complaint from a different company with the SAME EXACT EMAIL. It's as follows.

Fill out your profile

We work with 16,427 contractors and handymen across the country. It is extremely important that you fill out your profile within 24 HOURS so that the Matching Department can get you ready to go out and work.

1. Go to www.constructiondirect.net and click "Register" link (make sure you have the reference number given to you by the agent you spoke with).

2. Fill in all applicable and required information.

3. Now click on the "Submit" button and you should see you have successfully filled out your profile.

*if for some reason you get a pop up telling you that you missed something then fill or check the field or box you missed so you get a successful submission.


NEXT...

Background Check

Once you've successfully completed submitting your profile your account will be inactive until your background check is completed. Background checks take 3-5 business days.
As soon as your background check has successfully been completed you will have access to properties in our foreclosure database and you will be able to start being submitted to start receiving work and leads from our matching service database.
