I was having trouble with my yahoo email account in December 2012 and I contacted Yahoo and they put me in touch with PC Care Experts. They said my account had been hacked into and they needed to take access of my computer to fix the problem. Stupidly I allowed them to do this. They said it would be $439.95 to fix it and then if I had any other problems, they would fix them for me over the next two years. I allowed this and supposedly they fixed the problem. However, my computer ran very slow after this and I called back again for their help. They again supposedly fixed the problem. Yesterday I got a call from Windows Help and Support saying I had over 500 viruses on my computer and they needed access of my computer to fix them immediately. I got suspicious and told the man I had to check with my husband and hung up. Then I called Dell Support (the ones that I bought my computer from) and asked them about both of these companies. They said I had applications on my computer after they checked it remotely that were causing problems on my computer. I again had to pay them to fix these problems. Then I called PC Care Experts and told them I wanted my money back because I wasn't happy with their service and they said I couldn't get it back because too much time had gone by. They wanted to work on my computer again and I said no that I wanted my money back. They refused to give it back to me. I feel so stupid to have fallen for this as I feel like I was scammed. I still feel like they should refund part of my money as I still have one and one half years left on my contract with them. However, they say they cannot refund my money. I finally hung up as I was so upset and frustrated with them.
