I was contacted at my home first by a guy named Eric Jones who asked if I was looking for a Payday loan. I told him yes and he asked how much. I told him $500 and he told me that the minimum loan they could offer would be $600 with the maximum being $6000.00. this sounded kind of fishy but hey I was desperate. So I thought I had asked all the right questions about documentation and how long I had to pay it off etc... I even asked for the managers name(Justin Wilson). I was told that I had 9 months to pay back how ever much I borrowed but I had to put up 10% of that amount first before the funds could be wired to me via Western Union. RED FLAG!!! At this point I told him that I wasn't interested. I told my husband about it and he thought it sounded to good to be true also, but we were desperate to get our bills caught up so when Eric called again my husband gave him my work number and I talked to him again. Eric gave me the whole spill again and kept saying that the company was an government agency and was based out of Washington DC and kept insisting on how legit this was. So finally I gave in and had Eric call my husband when he arrived at a Kroger Western Union. My husband then wired $110.00(100 for the $1000.00 and a $10 processing fee) and was told that he would receive a call in 45 minutes with a MTC number that will allow him to pick up the $1000.00 in cash at any Westrern Union. Of course he never got a call back and we have been calling the number 202-241-9140 for two days now every 30 minutes to an hour but keep getting sent to a voicemailbox that is always full! THIS IS A SCAM!!!! DO NOT FALL FOR IT!!! A hundred dollars might not seem much to some people but when you are taking care of four growing children it is a WHOLE lot! I have never been scammed in my life but I guess there is always a first time for everything. All I can say is, stay away from ANY and ALL online payday loans. They are all SCAMS!!!
