Was approached by a male on a dating site who professed strong feelings for me within the first 48 hours of contact. He immediately removed himself from this site and wanted to chat via yahoo. On the phone which I could only access 25% of the time, he had a deep African sounding voice but the picture on the website was of a much younger Asian looking man. His English and spelling was poor. He asked me to transfer money in one of his online bank accounts. He sent me a cheque for $2000.00 and asked me to pay $350.00 to a nigerian man in Lagos, Nigeria via western union. The only reason I payed this money was because I thought I was getting it back in the cheque and I believed we were having a close relationship and he was trustworthy. Of course, the cheque bounced. I believe I was caught up in a Nigerian romance scam.
