There was a ad on Craigslist for a car that this lady named Mary Evans had for sale, said she was a female soldier for our country and she was going to be deploded to Afganistan and was needing to get rid of this car prior to her being shipped out. I questioned her about it because I told her that I was a single Mom trying to find a car for my son that I could afford and the one she had was definitely in my price range, she said that the transactions would be handled thru e-bay/safepurchaseprocess that way everything would be on the up and up, she said that if I wasn't satisfied with the car that I could get my money back and the cost of sending it Western Union. I am thinking this is a woman whom has defended our country, and she is going to be deploded again, plus there is a air force base here in Jacksonville, Arkansas so this has got to be for real. I sent the first $1000.00 dollars via Western Union and that was the down payment, said everything went thru and gave me a fax number to confirm everything, I was excited yet really nervous because I didn't want to loose my money that $2000.00 dollars to me is like a million to me I work extremely hard for my money and it took me a while to save that. Then I get another e-mail that I need to send another $1000.00 for insurance to cover anything that may be wrong during the shipping process and the shipping process had already started and in order to get the car delivered to me by Friday at 2 p.m. I needed to go ahead and send the other $1000.00 dollars so I did, the e-bay agents name was Keith Sallier, the seller was Mary Evans she was supposedly in Maryland she sent me pictures of the car, slide show or the car in her drive way and the e-bay agent and location was in Florida. Needless to say when the car had not arrived by 3 p.m. I knew something was wrong and I was just sick, I immediately called Western Union and report a scam and I also notified the Arkansas State Police, this is so wrong and so unfair there has got to be something done to stop this kind of crime to innocent people.
