They advertise free yoga, but when you get there they pressure you for a $15 "donation", total false advertising and the yoga wasn't even that good. The teacher likes to say "f*ck" a lot. I don't get it.

The yoga at Asheville Community Yoga is free for people that truly cannot afford to pay. If people have the money we have a suggested donation of $5-15. Many people who come to our center cannot pay and choose to volunteer to help support the center. The community here supports each other, with some people generously giving more in donations and/or volunteer time to support those that can't. The center would not be sustainable without financial and volunteer donations. Our goal is to provide a healthy and supportive environment for people to come together to connect and practice yoga regardless of their financial means. We are Non-profit and owned by the community.
We offer up to 7 classes a day, including many beginner classes, with various teachers and styles of yoga, and we invite people to find the classes and teachers that would serve them the most. We invite you to see our center for yourself. -
