An add on face book sent me to what seemed like a Uk Mens Health Magazine article raving about the product. (It had the men’s health logo and all)
From there a "free" trial was advertised all I had to do was pay the shipping of $9 which seems very cheap in hind sight to ship to Australia. So I signed up and entered my credit card to pay for the shipping.
I was immediately charged for the shipping, It also said a rep will call soon to confirm my postal address which never happened. Because I never received the call I assumed they had cancelled the order. this was around April 25.
I have never received a package, nor even a tracking number or invoice or email or correspondence of any kind from the company but they have now helped themselves to $80 from my credit card plus the original $9 for shipping.
I contacted the Australian phone number on the website which transferred me through to an American number.
Once I explained the situation they were very quick to apologise and ensure me that the money will be refunded then hang up, I then realised that I wanted to make sure that no future payments would be taken from my acct. so I rang back 30mins later and spoke to what sounded like the same person. They claimed not to of spoken to me. This time they took my details and denied having spoken to me earlier they also said there was no note on my acct in regards to ringing up.
They then told me that I have to wait until the package arrives and send it back with a reference number. My acct will then be credited the money.
What a load of rubbish, they are common thieves. They have totally changed their story between phone calls.
It turns out if you read the small print that it is a 10 day trial and then you will start to be charged automatically. (How am i meant to trail it, it never showed up and I do not believe it was ever shipped as no tracking number was supplied) If you also read the small print it states that they will not be accountable for lost goods so unless I can return it they won’t process my refund. How do I return an item that was never sent.
It is lucky that I spotted this on my credit card bill otherwise I would of continued to be charged weekly.
They are frauds and are blatantly misleading and have surely infringed on copy write laws by using a fake men’s health magazine page to advertise their scam.
