Saw the Flexseal Ad on TV and called the advertised number. After giving my credit card information, the automated voice kept asking me about more "deals". I continued to say no and the announcement would come back on suggesting I rethink my answer. After two of thes "deals" I hung up in frustration, thinking this would either cancel the order or limit it to exactly what I had ordered, two cans. That was on Saturday the 29 of Sept, 2011. Today, my bank advised me my account has been debited $149. The max it should have been is $40. if they process the order for the two cans. Wish me luck in trying to get my money back.

  • You can fight back. Go to: http://www.wyff4.com/news/29319210/detail.html and check it out. As a last resort, I notified the local TV station that Flex Seal was a scam operation. They checked it out and agreed. A couple of days after the story aired, Flex Seal credited my account with the proper amount. Unfortunately, one has to be persistent. I took a number of actions including getting an RMA number to return the overshipment. When I returned the overshipment, I had the Post Office set up tracking mechanism so I would know precisely when Flex Seal received the return. In general, document every thing as you go.
