My 2000 subaru forester was left with the business for a routine 60k service. The car was and had been in excellent operating condition. It did not have any issues with acceleration, vibrations nor safe handling.
The car was returned in poor operating condition. It did not accelerate with power, it was sluggish, it rattled and shook, my engine was like not my engine anymore. That's exactly what I told them when I called to complain, also parts were missing gone that had been there, my V 2.5L turbo engine was switched with an lesser quality one, after I looked under the hood to see what if anything I might see that might be leaking or what ever, I was shocked it was not the same under the hood. My original engine was dynamic in operation smooth, quiet, safe and reliable and powerful. The engine they swapped out to me was not a turbo engine, it did not even look identical to what I had. The business DENIES my claim and said I swapped out my own engine and what was I trying to pull on them. That the engine I got was the engine I placed with them to get a routine service, and they commented perhaps I was Hallucinating or perhaps I was thinking about another car I was working on! I asked what happened to my V2.5L turbo engine, they said it did not exist. Then I knew I was scammed and required a lawyer and assistance. I contacted the BBB, consumer fraud and the attorney generals office. They are investigating the matter. I will go to court it is my only hope and remedy. It is awful to have happen but I trusted the business because it had a BBB rating of A+, I learned that means nothing. This business may scam you too, be careful with this place, very.
