Although I am 73 years old, I don't believe I'm senile ; however I have been badly scammed. On June 8 I received a phone call saying that his company had received notice that my computer had big problems. The person had an accent that indicated that he was from India.
He had me run eventvwr on my computer to show me he was right. He said he was represented by or was connected somehow with Microsoft. He gave me his website which is www.swappccare.com I went to the site and sure enough there was such a web site. He next had me let him into my computer------He seemed to know what he was doing and if I paid 299.97, he would keep my two computers running great for a life time. I sent the money,but my bank shows that the money went to this company AVANGATE*KSNIPE.CO AMSTERDAM NL------I ask him way was the money sent to the Netherlands----He said that it was a big company. This person said his name is Steven Watson and his telephone number is 1-866-539-8803. I called him a few times and everything seemed to be fine.
On April 29 I received a phone when another person with an Indian accent tell me that because I was a good customer they wanted to refunded the 229.97 dollars.
I thought great but then the most embarrassing part for me was that I had to go to Western Union and send 350 dollars to Rauf Ansare in India------I was told that I would received the 350 back plus the refund of 299.97. I was told I would receive he money right away.-------The money wasn't sent to me, of course---Soon I was dealing with an Indian women who said her name is Rebecca. Her phone number is 760-284-1403 (At this time the number is stillworking) Rebecca sounded very nice and sincere. She said that there had been a technical problem-------How was I going to get my money back???? Rebecca said to trust her and I didn't have to worry---the problem was that I had to send 350 dollar again through Western Union. I feel like a real fool, but I felt that I had to go through with it to try to get my money back. On May 1, I sent 350 dollars to Md Ghulam Mohiudin in India.
There is probably nothing to be done, maybe I can get back the 299.97 from Swappccare.com. Yesterday I called Stephen Watson at 1-886-539 -8803. He told me to never call him again.
Any help I can get would be truly appreciate.
