WHOEVER THIS PERSON IS HAS A LISTING ON CRAIGLIST FOR A 3BED/2BATH HOME FOR RENT AT $700/MTH.(OF COURSE, THE LISTING IS NO LONGER THERE.) THOUGHT IT WAS A GREAT DEAL SINCE I AM LOOKING FOR A HOME FOR ME AND MY DAUGHTER. ANYWAY, THIS PERSON STATED HE HAD TO MOVE OUT BECAUSE OF A JOB TRANSFER. STATED HE IS A CONSTRUCTION ENGINEER AND HE GOT A BETTER JOB OFFER. HE WAS ASKING ME DIFFERENT THINGS THAT SEEMED TO BE ORDINARY WHEN TRYING TO RENT A PLACE.HE SEEMED TO HAVE REALLY GOOD INTENTIONS IN THE BEGINNING. HE WAS REALLY COOL UNTIL AFTER I SENT THE PAYMENT TO MOVE INTO THE PLACE TODAY-MAY 1...I WAS ASKING FOR SHIPPING INFO BECAUSE HE STATED HE WOULD BE SENDING ME THE KEYS AND PAPERWORK FOR THE HOME.I NEVER GOT THAT INFO. THEN HE STATED HE NEEDED ANOTHER 700 BECAUSE HIS LAWYER STATED IT WAS A RISK ONLY GETTING A PAYMENT AND NO DEPOSIT.ME BEING DESPERATE TO GET THIS HOME, I SENT IT. HE REALLY PLAYED WITH MY EMOTIONS. I KEPT ASKING FOR TRACKING INFO FOR THE PACKAGE...NO INFO. KEPT AVOIDING QUESTION. BEFORE I SENT THE MONEY, I WAS FEELING SOMETHING WAS WIERD, BUT HE KEPT ASSURING ME HE WAS THE OWNER AND A MAN OF GOD AND I SHOULD NOT WORRY. NOW IT'S BEEN FOUR DAYS AND IT HAS BEEN EXCUSE AFTER EXCUSE WITH THE VAN BREAKING DOWN FOR DHL TO A FLAT TIRE!! I FINALLY ASKED FOR MY MONEY BACK TODAY SINCE IT HAS BEEN FOUR DAYS AND NO PACKAGE. AFTER I ASKED FOR MY MONEY BACK, HE ASKED ME TO SEND MONEY TO FIX THE DHL VAN'S FLAT TIRE FOR $300 SO HE COULD HAVE THE PACKAGE SENT!! OMG! I'M SO SICK RIGHT NOW! ANYWAY,HE HAD BEEN STRINGING ME ALONG THE WHOLE TIME SCAMMING ME FOR MONEY. I KNOW I'M AN IDIOT, BUT I WAS DONE IN BY A SCAMMER BECAUSE I AM IN A DESPERATE SITUATION RIGHT NOW. I EVEN BORROWED SOME OF THE MONEY FOR THIS FOUL, DISPICABLE PERSON! UGH! ONCE ALL THIS TOOK PLACE, I DECIDED TO LOOK UP THE NUMBER I WAS GETTING TEXT MESSAGES FROM....IT IS A SCAM THAT HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR QUITE SOME TIME, APPARENTLY...I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT IF YOU COULD GET MY HARD EARNED CASH BACK FROM THIS LOW-DOWN DOG(S)!! NOW I HAVE TO FIGURE OUT WHERE I AM GOING TO GET MONEY FOR A PLACE AND PAY BACK WHAT I BORROWED!!THANKS FOR HELPING PEOPLE LIKE ME...

  • Now he is using [email protected] with 323-364-2295 as his phone number. He tried to pull the same scam on me, but I asked for proof of ownership before I would send him a check. Same ad posted on Craigslist: Rent at $700 with all utilities paid for a four bedroom house really did sound too good to be true. And apparently it is! Thanks for your post. I hope you will contact the police.

  • Thank you for this submission. He tried to pull the same thing on me from a 6463979405 and the email [email protected]. I knew it was fishy because of texting so I went along with it anyways. I googled the phone number and here I am now. He claimed to have a home in Sc on Craigslist for $550 a month. He had pictures and all and made it seem legit but wanted money upfront and claimed he would ship me the keys and rental docs. He also offered to call me but wouldn't give me a legit phone number to reach in case I wanted to speak to my "land lord" he also would not do cash on delivery. Be careful people. Thanks for this post it help me to find out he was a scammer for sure!

  • I will say this literally just happened to me at 2 p.m. today I'm a single mom of 3&work my ass off now I'm broke&still gotta move. I'm nothing but sick now & knowing I new better is worse please help!!!...

  • Be aware this scammer is still at large and is trying to conduct business with me right now for a house in charlotte, nc. He is using multiple email addresses through yahoo, currently [email protected] along with the phone number 646-389-5430. His story is that he has moved with his family to their new home in Summerville, SC and that is the reason for renting out this house at 2606 Brahman Meadow Lane. Two separate ads have appeared on craigslist over the last 3 days for the same house both now gone, and both had different contact numbers for the owner. I did more research to find that this person also has listings for houses in SC, NY, IN under this same number and email through both craigslist and placebee.com. BE ALERT!!! Never send money to anyone, always conduct business in person. I too am in a situation where I desperately need a new place for my family, but I am so glad I decided to research the numbers after the changes within the ad. My heart goes out to those affected by such a heartless, despicable person. Something definitely needs to be done about this!!!

  • After speaking with this person through texts, for quite a while...his responses are textbook to what all of the complaints here have stated. Constant avoidance of direct questions related to the home in question, seemingly sincere, but nothing adds up. Today the house is posted again on Craigslist, with an upgrade in price to $750/mth, with no address listed or phone numbers to contact. Just Aug 27, $750, Ranch house 3BR, 2 Car garage Charlotte (w pic) This person when asked if we could meet him to view the house, went on to state how he and his family had moved and that they were not interested in the money for the rent but for someone who was trustworthy, dependable, and would treat the property as if it were their own. He asked me if I would take proper care of his house, instead of giving any details or offering to meet us to view it. Be Cautious!
