We recently were switched to OptumRX through my husband's employer. It has been a nightmare sending in new prescriptions. My doctor has faxed the new prescriptions twice before they acknowledged that they had received them. There were 3 different medications for asthma for my 12 year old son. First, they wouldn't talk to me about the prescriptions since they were not for me (privacy issue). Once I gave them the specific medication names, they spoke to me. Then, they said there was an error on one of the scripts and they needed to contact the doctor. After two days, I received an automated message saying there was a delay in processing my perscription and it would be available in another 7-10 days. When I called, I was told there was an error in a different script. After 3 weeks I still didn't have the medicine and now my son was out of Singulair. I went to WalMart and wasableto buy 7 pills for cash so that my son had his medication. I finally received two of the three medications after 4 weeks. I can't imagine that I will be able to fill the third prescription when I need it!!
