I was looking for a roommate to lower my rent as I'm at school. Someone named Michelle Anderson e-mailed me through Craigslist and told me to deposit the check of $2900 to the bank. But the check was held back and now I am in debt because I transfered the money to Moneygram already.

  • I was also contacted by Michelle Anderson via craigslist.I had an add posted to find a roommate.Claimed to be a student from ireland that was moving to the states to further her edcucation.Sent me a fake check in the amount $2500 to have her car delivered here before she moved.Told me to deposit it into my bank and send the money via money gram to Jazmin Acosta.of course the check is not going to clear and you will be stuck paying the money back to your bank.Luckily i spotted the scheme and took the check to my bank to confirm it was a fake. And of course it was! STAY AWAY from these people do not answer any emails from them they are only out to scam you!!
