This Dallas-based debt settlement management firm has been charged by the Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott with defrauding its customers. The state's enforcement action sought an asset freeze and temporary restraining order against Shane V. Garner and Credit Allaince Group (CAG)dba Credit Services Today. I had received a phone call from Shaun Smith (CAG) back on 9-3-2010, although everything had to been done as fast as possible they were nice. I sorter thought maybe this was too good to be true. Since, I had tried several places to find someone to help me with my credit debt no one could help me not even my creditors except that after 3 months late they would help me. I didn't want to be 3 months behind. I wanted to find a way to pay them and not have to worry about credit cards. Now I am 2 yrs and 4 months behind thanks to CAG. When Shaun Smith from CAG called me he was very nice and answer most of my questions. I kept getting this sick feeling to my stomach that I had been suck in to this company and it was pass 3 days when the reality of what I done began to be a reality. I do not used credit cards anymore for purchases it is cash or go without. The sad part about it was they wanted money from you every month and they set up account so they could get it.They also charged the clients 35% along with that monthly payments. I found out the 35% just recently. If I had only thought it through, I would have seen this was not legit.I wasn't helping me I was helping CAG reap the benefits from my monthly payments. My creditors didn't received any money just the CEO Shane Garner of CAG was using the money to pay his personal bills. I found this out today. They have around 24,000 dollars of my money and none of it when to my creditors. If, you were involved with this company please go to the Texas State Attorney General website and fill out a complain form. This is a way of CAG clients who have been taken advantage of to stop companies like this from scamming more people. There are a lot of people that are desparately trying to do the right thing with the wrong companies. This economy is going south has people trying to keep their heads above water. https://www.oag.state.tx.us (TEXAs Attorney General website. Please put a stop to this insanity.
