In London, stupidly responded to an internet ad for sample creams - for a total of £2.58 each x 2. They did not arrive before I left the UK.My cousin said they arrived and there was a postal payment of
£20 pounds so I said to forget it, as this had never been mentioned in the ad (stupid me, of course). Now, I see on my bank statement, that 2 amounts of £45.39 have been deducted , on SEPTEMBER 26th.
So I call the bank - Natwest - to say that it is obviously a scam, and they tell me I have to deal with the company involved... well, hello! No numbers, no details no nada, and stupid me, but can't the bank help me to block any more payments?????????

- Hi, I had the same exact problem. Signed up to have free products for a couple of pounds of postage and next thing is we get a couple of cards from the mail that we need to pay extra 25 pounds extra, so we didn't pick them up. Now I just checked my cc statement and they charged me 90 pounds and my cc company says i need to contact them first, how do I contact them anyone can help????

- Ops call (800) 515-1070 Monday through Thursday 9 AM to 9 PM, Friday 9 AM – 6 PM, Saturday 9 AM – 5 PM and Sunday 11 – 5 PM EST or email.

- Thanks - tried number a few days ago and just sounded as if out of order... will try again. IN the mean time, they took off another £94.96!! It seems as though one is automatically signed up for a monthly programme with escalating costs!!! I cancelled my card and am waiting for documents to stop the unauthorised deductions...

- Hi Lilijo - thank you for the number. I finally got through to them and some laconic sounding guy who was pretty freaked out by my rage (didn't start out like that but progressed) Anyhow, he finally gave me some reference numbers for the refund and to their credit, the money was in the next day..... am presuming that they won't carry on taking money off but have got the forms from Natwest to scan and send back... hope you come right too!
