i received a great vacation deal via fax from my job. $175/pp for 6 days and 5 nights to our choice of cancun, cabo, or dominican republic with a bonus package for 4 day and 3 nights to orlando, florida. of course hotel stay, meals, and activities were covered in this fee. the memo said from H.R. Dept. open to all employees at a corporate rate but there was only a limited number of vacation packages . the number was 866-519-9231. i called because i was very excited, i needed this vacation and so did my kids, then a bonus package to orlando saved me money when i wanted to take them to disneyland, who would pass that up. i was told there was only two packages left and they were sold as couple deals only. they stated they would not be offering this kind of deal to the company again for 3 years. i made the reservations although i had expressed it would just be myself and my 2 children and paid $400. i even got a confirmation number and a direct number to a representative who could assist me when i was ready to book my travel. i tried calling in march 2013 to have my money refunded because i just couldnt see myself taking this vacation during the 18 month time frame i was given which was up august 2013. i was told it couldnt be refunded but i can sign the package over to someone or pay an additional fee to expend it for another few months. i expressed that i didnt understand why i couldnt get my money back if not dates, rooms, or anything was physically reserved but the rep i spoke to couldnt answer that. i tried selling my package to a family member who did their own research and found this page. it seems as though i have the same story as all of you. THIS IS A SCAM!!!!! can someone please tell me how i can get my money back.
