We had our long distance service with Primus Telecommunications Inc. PO Box 219, Fairfield Iowa. Customer service # 800-393-4500.
Due to a job loss our bill was late but we did pay the bill in full on the 11th of April, it was due on the 24th of March. They received our payment the same day they disconnected us on April 15th.
We contacted the company, immediately to see if we could get our service connected again and they said yes but it would be 24 to 48 hours and there would be a $27.00 activation fee which we paid on our debit card. The lady said she would put a rush on this but all would be well in 24 to 48 hours. Well that did not happen.
We have talked to many people with this company everyday since and today when the service was still not connected as they said it would be, we told them we wanted to cancel and we wanted our activation fee of $27.00 back. The refused to do that. We had to contact our local carrier yesterday and they did their part to get this working again and called us to let us know they did. Once that was done it was suppose to be turned on in 24 hours (again) and it was not.
We have asked to speak to supervisors but all the people we talked to were in the Philippines we finally found out yesterday, the 23rd of April.
WE were lied to, money was taken from us for a service that did not happen and I just want everyone to know that this company is not a good company to work with.
We have had this service for a couple of years now and we ran into one problem and this is how we were treated.
Any suggestions would be great but for now we just one the public to know how bad this company is with lying about when they would do what they needed to do to turn our long distance service back on.
Twenty seven dollars may not seem like a lot for some but with my husband just losing his job, and cost being what they are for food and fuel, it is a lot of money to us.
Sincerely,
Rhonda(Personal Information Removed)
