I initially text this person in regards to a yorkie puppy they had listed on Craigslist under the Logan ads for pets. They were quick to respond and they were very reassuring that shipping to me would be easy since they had shipped to my town before and being this was my gist time purchasing or dealing through Craigslist. Saying "trust me, I will walk you through it step by step". It was late evening on 4/22, so they asked if we could continue our conversation about Rocco (the puppy) the following day. They text me early Tuesday morning (6am), asking if I had a good night and if I was ready to conclude our transaction for Rocco. What they did not know is that when they called it a night I was able to do some research of my own about them an where they were located. So I continued to play along with them and said that I needed a few things from them first before we continued: their location, name, and what company the puppy would be shipped through. They responded and I told him that was great because my husband would be coming through Richmond, VA on business and that they could conclude this transaction in person and exchange money in person as well as me not having to pay the shipping of the animal to him. He responded per below:

Ahhh-ha!! Scam!! What an answer: it's safer for the dog to be shipped than to be accompanied and travel with its perspective owner!!?
