My PC crashed Friday April 19, 2013.
Through the weekend I was trying to restore it using Windows 7 CD. In teh process reports from my PC were transmitted to Micro soft.
Yesterday (Sunday PM) Got a call to my home phone number, I received a call from blocked number stating they are from Windows and they are getting reports from my PC. They wanted to help me fix it.
They asked me to log into WWW.Ammyy.com I suspected foul play and asked for their phone number they gave me 631-333.5380, I called the number and was easily connected to the person who called me. Suspecting fraud, I hang up.
They know my home address and did get my PC reports to Microsoft.
1. What shall I do
2. How to prevent this?
P.S I have AVG on my PC.
