WARNING TO ALL CRAIGSLIST BUYERS IN BOSTON/USA INTERESTED IN PURCHASING APPLE PRODUCTS.
Beware deals that are too good to be true (e.g. 15" MacBook PRO from Craigslist $400).

Received this contact from a [email protected].

"Hi, I am getting back to you regarding the 15" MacBook PRO from Craigslist

My name is Nancy and I am now in Toronto.
Please take a look at the pictures attached to this email.
The Mac is in perfect shape.
Everything that came with the Mac is included (warranty as well).
I tried to be as thorough as I could with the presentation so you can have all the info if you decide to go ahead and buy it.
Let me know.

Thanks,
Nancy

I have found a company called Parcels Please that will deliver the Mac to you in the US and allow you to check the Mac before I receive the payment. You will be in control of your money and I will be in control of my Mac.
I will use 2 day delivery and I will take care of the shipping fee.
Please have a look at their procedure and we will go from there.

  • I have received this very same email from Nancy Lawler regarding, no doubt, the same non-existent MacBook Pro. The posting for the Mac came from Craigslist Des Moines, IA. As the original poster indicated, BEWARE OF DEALS THAT ARE TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE. Another complaint against Parcels Please was registered by Emily on 4/18/13 in which she was contacted by Stephanie Welker regarding a MacBook Pro. Interestingly, Stephanie Welker and Nancy Lawler share the same address in Toronto.

  • Naresh (4/18/13) related a similar experience regarding an iPad purchased from Stephanie Welker with payment made according to instructions from ParcelsPlease Canada. Her loss was $299. Again, BEWARE OF DEALS THAT ARE TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE.

  • Hello everyone, I work for ParcelsPlease.com, part of CCL (Consolidated Carriers Ltd) based in Scotland in the UK. We are a logistics company who operate globally however we have no affiliations with companies in the USA or Canada. These individuals have been using our company name and logo to commit fraud. Unfortunately many Craigslist users have been affected by this. We are trying our best to have all of these fraudulent sites closed down and have contacted the relevant authorities in Canada.

We do sympathise that you've been involved in this scam and thank you very much for reporting it so that others can avoid making the same mistake.

    Many thanks once again.

    Kind regards,
    Dawn Henderson
