Brian Price & Chris King(Showcase Mgr) called me on the telephone saying they have Buyers for our Timeshare. They wanted an upfront fee to advertise and showcase our timeshare. They charged me $1798 on our Mastercard. They told me to fax them the contract signed to them. They wanted me to be home when they called me 3-4 times in the next month to keep me interested. They never called me with any offers to purchase the Timeshare. False advertising/business practices. FRAUD committed over STATE LINES via the Telephone getting my credit card info and money. They never delivered their service in selling our Timeshare. I sent them a letter from a Consumer Advocate telling them I want my Refund of $1798,on April 4, 2011, MGM never responded to my letter!

The resale of a timeshare is a legitimate business. Companies agree to advertise a timeshare for a fee on their websites. As with advertising, the membership doesn´t need to sell in order the fees to be legitimate.
The difference between an honest timeshare resale company and a scam, is when the company falsely suggest they have a buyer waiting for their timeshare, or picture unrealistic, overoptimistic selling possibilities. This is a good article about timeshare resale scams and how to get out of them:
