18 month old laptop with 2-year service plan stopped working wirelessly. Geek Squad said it needed a new hard drive to fix the problem, and they would transfer data and programs to new hard drive.
I had to pay $150.00 in advance, despite my service plan. No new hard drive was installed, it still did not work wireless, everything had been transferred onto an external disk. "Repairs" were not performed as they originally claimed was needed, I cannot access the external drive, and my laptop was basically wiped clean of everything.
I was told that it was all up to me to resolve the problems, including the loss of my spyware and antivirus ware. Called for an inhome GeekSquad visit, as recommended by BestBuy store. Made the appointment, but the tech was a no-show. Three trips to the store plus a no-show in-home visit. Computer useless. Out money for the initial (non)repair, plus for a worthless support plan. All I got for my money was lies, doubletalk, wasted miles and time, aggravation,
and attitude.

What has happened to a once decent store? I now really regret recommending them to friends and relatives.
