This happened at front of Ralphs, Torrance CA. There were an Italian guy (bad English, not sure if he really is Italian) in gray Grand Cherokee, asking a way to the LAX airport. I gave him the direction, and talked a little. He said he will help me as his thanks and gave me his business card and 4 Armani collezioni jackets. He said he have money, showing couple hundreds and twenties, but not willing to pay taxes for airport shipping of jackets and willing to give it to someone. Talking inside his car, he first gave me the price of $1500 for lady's jacket, asking weather I have a girl friend or a sister or a mother. Since I didn't need it and didn't have that much money, I didn't deal with him. Then he showed me the receipt of the car rent of Cherokee (not sure if it truly was a receipt), he said he needed help to pay that off too. Next he gave the price of $900. Then he lowers his price to 640, I hesitated, but paid it.

The Armani jacket has "A collizoni" on the button and other places. It had a "made in Italy" tag. BUT DOES NOT SAY "ARMANI" anywhere. Real Armani should have its name on it.

On the black business card, There is his name Pasquale G. and under that, his title shows director manager. Left bottom corner says City:Milano and some kind of address under. Right bottom corner are his e-mail address and phone# 339-337-6289 fax# 01-628-0113. Back side of the card shows "2011 2012 Autum Winter Collection".?His phone number will reach to totally different company.

The guy is around 5'8", skinny, blond~brown short hair, little beard, blue eyes. He looks like he is around 40s to early 50s.

After couple researches, I noticed that there are many people getting ripped off with same method. BEWARE!

  • The same approach happened to me yesterday (july 13th) on rush street on Chicago downtown, closer to the diesel store, around 11 am. This itallian guy, named Pasqualli, he was in a red ford suv and asked me the way to the chicago airport. He told me he was a seller from armani and gave me 4 leather jackets, and after that he said he was looking for some electronic stuff to buy for his daugher. He asked me to buy at the apple store, I just refused and said to him (after a closer look and check the guy was very small) "dude, I can't accept your gifts, you crossed the line, I'm not an idiot, i'm brazilian and I'm smarter than you think! Take back your clothes that I'm getting out!"
He was in Chicago yesterday. Ican recognize him everywhere!
