Hi my name is Ulrica (Personal Information Removed) and I would like to file a complaint on a business. I tried to file it online but I am having trouble with your website. The name of the business is Designs by Tessian Dobbins Leak, Phone: 817-298-4691, Address: 5810 Falcon Crest Dr or Road, Arlington, TX. On March 15th I dropped off some items for Ms Leak to design and alter. At that time she quoted me a 3 week turn time and I paid her half of what the cost would be. The total came to $314 and I paid her $157. I haven't heard anything from her until I text her on April 8th to see how things were going. At that time she texted me back and said she had not started on my order. I asked her if she could just go ahead and make the alterations to the 2 skirts and we could discuss the other items later. Well I though at least I would have those completed that week but didn't hear anything. On April 13th morning I texted Ms leak once again and asked her if she still has not completed the order I can come by and pick my items up and just refund me the money that I paid. Well at that point things got out of hand. She all of a sudden informed that she did not have a refund policy and that her turn time was actually 6-8 weeks. I asked Ms Leak if this is your turn times why quote me 3 weeks. She stated because of the friendship. Well Ms Leak and I are not friends and if she could not complete the order in 3 weeks then she should have never quoted it. Ms Leak never informed me of a return policy, I have nothing in writing from her stating that and her receipt does not say anything about a return policy as well. She also stated in her text message that legally she does not have to return my items. I don’t see how that is possible; she just can not keep my items. We exchange text messages back and forth and at this time she stated she was going to file a restraining order against me and she stated that I was harassing her. So I called the police because I felt that this was theft by deception and she can not legally keep my items. So the police told me to see if she could mail the items or if someone else could go and pick them up. I texted Ms leak and suggested that my husband pick up my items or she mailed them. She stated that I was no longer welcomed on her property. At this point I would like to retrieve my items and obtain a refund because she did not perform the services in a timely manner. I have dealt with Ms Leak in the pass that is why I wanted to deal with her again, but this time her service was poor and unfair. I am making a complaint so no one else will be treated this way. I am also seeking legal advice at this time to see if I can pursue a lawsuit. I have our entire conversation in the text massages and I have a copy of the receipt from her business. I am trying to resolve this matter any help will be gladly appreciated.
