Paid £26.99p for UK 12month Xbox Live online via www.instant-points.net ~ code was made visible in online account. Code supplied had been redeemed 2 weeks earlier than my order. Microsoft confirmed this & are investigating. BEWARE PEOPLE THIS "IS" A SCAM SITE - YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE YOUR ORDERS

  • I have just done exactly the same thing. I received the exact same code also! is there anything that can be done to get the money back? Feel like such an idiot for using this site. Only looked at user comments rather than check online if it was a scam!

  • Hey Kyle, thanks for the reply. It's at least good to know that they are distributing the same code. It also acts as evidence for your bank to recover your cash! Contact your bank, explain the situation, but don't delay!! This page can be printed to support your claim. ALSO! I contacted Microsoft and asked them to check when the code was redeemed. They confirmed it was 28th March 2013 (2 weeks before we purchased it). They sent me an email to confirm this and I will be using that as evidence to support my claim too. The bank should be able to get your money back and the fraud teams will pursue this for us. So, contact MS ask them to verify the code redemption date via email. Contact your bank when you have this and ask them to help. If you would like a copy of the MS email I have let me know here and I'll try and add the email if it's possible? Good luck ~ my fraud forms are on the way from my bank and I'm printing off my evidence right now! Reported Damages has risen over $250 more since yesterday... How wide is this? Just grateful for this site! All the best, let's bring this to a close.

  • you guys rock,
exactly the same code they sent me, surprise surprise !!

Likewise, I ordered 2 lots, received the one code.
Its a killer them appearing at the top of the google search/ sponsored links.
The sad thing is, the majority of people wont be on here claiming, so the 76 complaints, are only going to be a fraction of the whole picture.

  • Hi Phillip, thanks friend!
It's now 84 complaints & no doubt just the tip of the iceberg.

Sorry to hear another has been hit, but contact Microsoft and your bank, they have both been very helpful and Microsoft even offered to help with the case should it go further!

The more of us that contact them, the better chance they can put some weight behind closing these fraudsters down.

Good luck! I will post back if/when I get my money back, just to let people know it is worth making the claim.

    All the best.

  • P.S. these guys would also like details, it's a chunk of effort but I don't mind passing on the details if it saves just one person from suffering the same http://www.actionfraud.police.uk/report_fraud

  • I contacted Microsoft via LIVE Chat support from their website.

I contacted my bank and explained I believed I had been defrauded via an internet website. Give them details and ask if you can claim the charge back. I could and have today received my money back!

They were taking cash via "Verified by VISA" if you paid this way I think it's treated as a credit card transaction and you have a level of protection.

Speak to Microsoft then speak to you bank, but don't delay - the claim can be time sensitive.

    Good luck!
