Call the FTC on these people. The more that complain the quicker something gets done about them. It's easy and fast, they don't judge and give helpful advice for what to do next!
My story is basically the same as everyone else's. I applied online with one payday loan place. check n go. this is where they got my information. My bank was very helpful and got my account closed right away. Now I'm receiving phone calls from a miss becinda (sp?) at css. Voicemail says I'm conducting an investigation against you. If you don't cooperate we will forcefully recover the amount you owe. If you want to voluntarily resolve this outside of court call me at 1-855-518-6579. But since we've tried contacting you repeatedly (this is 2nd call) we assume you do not wish to resolve this voluntarily and will be forwarding the proper documents to the place of employment for wage garnishment. You can still call me if you have questions.
This is a scare tactic and illegal. If you are getting these types of calls report them to the FTC, today. Takes 5 minutes. I filed 2 complaints. One for hydrafund, who got my information from check n go and one for this css place.
