I have had an incident on the 08/04/2013. I have a list of items on gumtree value of about $2500. I got the text saying
"Hello, pls get back to me directly via email [email protected] What is your final price & condition for your stuff available on gumtree thanks"
I emailed even though i had a feeling was a scam, I then got email from DOROTHY Butea with this email address - [email protected]
" Thanks for the response, i'm interested in buying it for $3800 AUD including PayPal surcharges since i'm interested in an immediate purchase. Let me know if my offer is accepted because I just moved to the China where this is needed & i will be making use of a shipping company to have it picked up from you and have it delivered to me. Further arrangements will be made with you in regards to the pick up once i have paid you.
I would appreciate if you email me with more pictures (if available) too since i won't be able to come over to see this in person due to the nature of my job schedule is too busy. Please be aware of any text like this they will generally have the persons name come up as if they are in your contact list even though they are not as these are scams
