Doubleday Large Print Book Club sent my elderly mother an invoice alleging that she owed money and had to purchase 2 more books from them to fulfill her commitment. This came almost 2 years after she had purchased her required 4 regular priced books, and had cancelled her membership. She was prepared to send them a check just to keep them from harassing her and ruining her credit, when we found online that this company has made a practice of swindling seniors. So we have sent no money.
