This guy who said his name was John Green sent me a message on zoosk and we communicated for a few weeks before we found out he is part of a group scam that extorts money from vulnerable women!! He is also listed on the zoosk site under: Nicholas1960, Skip, and Reasonablekiss...that we have found so far!! He writes as if he is Mr. Charming, does not live in Sydney and his story this time was that he was working on a rig in the North Sea! He insisted I set up to talk on yahoo messenger when I had said that I have Skype! Then he promises the world, has all the emails scripted, misses out on replying to questions he does not want to answer and rings from numbers: +2348054612371 and +447937141610 which I am sure he has changed by now!! There were signs like: he says he is European...but with a common English name, the font changes part way through the email, but he sounds so sincere on the phone and sent flowers and chocolates and had not got to the point of asking for money from me! Once he was exposed and I emailed through the evidence...of course it was all my fault for not calling to hear his side of the story and he did not respond to any of the attachments sent over which clearly stated his name and email address! One woman had sent $2600, another had turned up to collect him from the airport but of course he wasn't there, etc, etc. It is amazing what you can learn from Facebook when irate women start writing how they have been duped! Obviously the photos used on these listings have been stolen on line and then the next thing this week was our website was hacked into and they tried to retrieve our credit card details with no luck! When I brought this to his attention...of course it wasn't him and then I find the next day my Yahoo account had been accessed and I had to reset the password to get back in...all conversations still stored and now downloaded in case he tries to delete them again! So, whilst I would never had sent any money even if asked...this is a warning to unsuspecting ladies that this can be extremely hurtful emotionally as well as financially and of course he stopped writing the minute he was exposed!!

  • Hi thanks for your post - it helped me to find that he was a scammer. He is at it again but under the name John Davenport on Zoosk. Luckily I worked it out within the week and he didn't get anything out of me!
