I ordered a pair of ugg boots from a website that was shut down days after I placed my order. My experience is the same of many others here...

The item that I purchase was advertised at $127, but RealyPay deducted $135 from my account. The problem here is that the site advertised the price as NZD$127. (I'm in New Zealand). So they should of charged NZ dollars. The exchange rate excuse does not apply here- this is just straight out unlawful and unauthorized removal of money from my account.

Since the website was closed down days after I placed my order I was lucky enough to be alerted to the fact I had purchased counterfeit boots before they shipped. So I canceled the order through the RealyPay website.

The merchant got back to me the next day saying that they would refund the money after taking a 6% handling fee! I replied that that was unacceptable since they were selling counterfeit products and therefore acting unlawfully. The next day they agreed to refund the full amount.

Luckily, 3 working days later I see a refund in my account. However, its $3.00 short of the full amount. This isn't much I know. But RealyPay appear to be doing this to everyone, so this will add up.
There are two reasons why I think this is not an exchange rate issue but instead part of their scam. If it really was a exchange rate issue, because of fluctuations in exchange rates, some people would get a little more back than what they paid... but according to the complaints here no one does. I've also checked the change in exchange rate from when the money cleared from my account compared to when it was credited back in. The difference is 0.58c. So they exchange rate excuse is fake.

I've still disputed the transaction with my Debit card provider and hope to get every last dollar back from them.
