For the past 10 years I and my family have gone to this location. In 2010 I purchased lower dentures. Since then I have been back twice for routine cleaning for plaque deposits. I have been extremely pleased with the denture. In each of these visits, the dentist assistant takes the denture, places it in a biosonic machine, polishes it and then returens it to me. A process which takes about 10 minutes. I had never been charged for this service . On March 22, 2013 I had an appointment for the same service. I went in and the assistant repeated the same procedure. When leaving, I was informed that I owed $109.00. I was shocked! I said I thought the lady was looking at the wrong patient. When I asked about it she informed me that this is the normal fee for cleaning teeth for a regular patient. I told her I thought this was unetical and immoral. How could they justify charging me that amount for ten minutes without seeing a dentist and compare it to a patient sitting in the chair for an hour and consulting with the doctor? I am appalled at this dishonesty. The dentist, Dr. Brian Jackson, is new to this building. The dentist we had always gone to, retired. I would appreciate any assitance you could give me. I have always payed my bills promptly and would be glad to pay them a minimal amount in accordance with the service I received. But the amount quoted to me and billed to me is unacceptable. We will never go back there again and certainly, my family will be a lot more cautious when going to any other dentist.
