An employment offer was made by a seemingly legitimate company. After an interview process and employment details were shared, the company paid the balance of my credit card was paid so that I might purchase apple merchandise. Once the items were shipped, the payment was rescinded, leaving me with the debt and no merchandise. I have been diligently working with the Arkansas District Attorney’ s Public Protection Office, my credit card company, and the local police department. I attempted to dispute the charge through the credit card company, but they said I had to go through loss prevention since the items were actually purchased. I have attached the information for the transactions that occurred (serial numbers, purchase price—on the original receipt), the email communication between myself and the company, the job offer, payment information and subsequent cancellation, police report, and the customs forms to where the phones were shipped. While I understand that it is not likely that I will be able to obtain a refund for the items, I am hopeful that it will be possible to have a reduced purchase price on the items. I am currently being charged over $9,800.00 for two separate purchases of iPhones. I have found other victims on the internet that have lost over $20,000 to this same company. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
