I rec'd 2nd chance offer from [email protected] to purchase a car in the eBay Protection Program, which rquires buyer to wire funds into eBay's UK bank, with confirmation fax to a MA # when transaction is complete. Funds are held in escrow until buyer inspects the vehicle and are released to seller on buyer's authority to eBay. Long story short, after my [email protected] re-routes em to a 3rd party. Fax # is registered to private party in Mass. Scammer email domain is in S.C. The address of the wired funds beneficiary is in Surrey UK, and is registered to eBay (UK) and also PayPal (UK) PR COnsultant. The wire recipient's account is in Barclay Bank Leiscester UK. THe transaction formats, stationery graphics, emails, language, etc were all same as eBay's. I believe it is either a past or present eBay employee who is intercepting 2nd chance offers on stateside and working with another party in UK. I have made 4 calls to eBay Security Center, and emailed the CEO. I have also filed complaints with FTC, ic3.gov, CA Atty General. Haven't heard back from anyone yet. I believe eBay was negligent in being complicit with fraud committed within its own venue, is negligent in supervision and lack of ordinary care which promotes an environment for fraud by its employees, and engages in deceptive trad practices. ANd it is under those circumstances that I would like to be reimbursed for $9,000, which includes purchase price of auto, wire fees, research and reports of domains, persons, addresses, phone #s and interest accrued, which will continue to accrue on borrowed funds. We are senior citizens and cannot recover from this loss this late in life. Thanks you for your kind assistance.
