Beyond.com appears to be an online job search site. Job seekers register with the website by providing personal information and creating a password. Job seekers can also post a searchable resume, job history and skills on the website, which Beyond.com uses to create a portfolio and then assigns a unique URL to access the portfolio. Beyond.com also emails job postings to job seekers which link to job boards bearing the Beyond name and insignia, and also the name The Career Network.
All of the job boards affiliated with Beyond.com used an application form from Application Tree in the past, but have changed to a similar form from Gigats.com. Both forms ask whether the applicant is interested in furthering their education and whether they are interested in finding out if they qualify for a free cell phone service. Your information is not sent to an employer; it is sent to advertisers and college recruiters. If a job posting lists an employer and you go directly to the employer's website, you will discover that the job doesn't exist.
If you register on Beyond.com or use any of their job boards to apply for one of their bogus job postings, you will be bombarded with telephone calls from telemarketers. If you don't register on Beyond.com but try to submit an application using one of the job boards bearing the Beyond and Career Network names, a message will welcome you to Beyond.com and inform you that a profile had been created for you on their website. A profile or resume cannot be deleted from the Beyond.com website, and the email link and telephone number listed on their website do not work.
The job boards associated with Beyond.com include (but are not limited to): Construction JobForce, Business Workforce, JobAnimal, Mikeroweworks, Healthcare Jobsite, TechCareers, Logistics Jobsite, SalesHeads, Financial JobBank, Education Jobsite, Engineer Jobs, Hospitality Jobsite, IndianapolisGigs and JobCircle. These sites also send job postings to your email. The Gigats application form now indicates it is powered by Employer Network which I've recently begun receiving job postings from in my email.

We at Beyond.com saw your report and were concerned that you had a bad experience. We have investigated your complaint and found that there is no connection between us and the behavior you described.
In particular, we do not provide resumes or other job seeker information to Application Tree and Gigats nor have we authorized calls to job seekers. Also note that some of the sites you mentioned in your report (for example, Mikeroweworks and Employer Network) are not affiliated with our service. It is unfortunate that some disreputable companies use the names of trusted companies, such as ours, and mimic our forms to seek to give legitimacy to their postings and offers.
Rest assured that we monitor our job postings, and are always eager to know of any that our users find misleading so that we can remove them. Of course, it is impossible to investigate each of the more than 1 million jobs posted on any given day. Please note that if you are registered on our site, you have the opportunity to manage your account settings, including modifying your portfolio and your visibility to employers. You may also delete your resume and profile at any time.
