Thank-you, Bumblebeex, for commenting on my report. It was your initial report on LJW that gave me the courage first to drop out of the training course and then to post my own complaint. I don't know how to respond to a posting, so I figured I might as well do this like a new posting. We've both been taken advantage of by the same outfit.

One thing I can add: Security Guard is an honorable profession. When posting "Help Wanted" for an honorable profession, isn't it usual to state what the profession is? Then why did the "Help Wanted" ads for these positions give the impression that they could be possibly for not only security guards but also for receptionists or clerks? Why did the ads not contain the word "security guard?"

Anonymous' comment was the first I heard about them being "off the books." Don't Security Guard companies with contracts with other companies operate on the books?

On the one hand, off-the-books bring you initially more net bucks per wages; on the other hand, after 3 and a half years of unemployment, I'm concerned about how my anticipated monthly social security payment is dropping and dropping. Off the books jobs, don't stop or slow the drop.

I'm not sure my credit card company can refund me half of the $400.

And then there's the potential for identity theft. I already have stopped my credit card, pending replacement with a different number, and I've gotten information from the DMV and Social Security about further steps I might have to take.

  • I haven't gone to the training and I'm not going to give them more money for it. I signed a contract but I am not going back

  • Good for you! If you used Bumblebeex' and my experience in your decision, I'm glad we helped saved you from it.

    My credit company agreed to take half the charge off my credit card debt. But they added with something like, "If the merchant gives us flack and makes a legitimate case, we might add the charge back." So I don't know how it'll play out.

    Also, I've changed my credit card number, gotten a new card.

  • LJW ONLY provides lawful Security Training for Security Elite Group. You didnt give any money to LJW so they DID NOT scam you. Sounds like LJW provided the training only. your beef is NOT withh LJW......its with Security Elite Group.

  • PEOPLE.......I USED TO WORK FOR LJW SECURITY AS A TELEMARKETER BEFORE GETTING HIRED WITH CLASSIC SECURITY THROUGH LJW SECURITY'S PLACEMENT SPECIALIST. THEREFORE, I HAVE SEEN "FIRST HAND" WHO IS SCAMMING WHO!

    THE OWNER OF LJW IS A VERY SERIOUS MAN AN DOESNT NOT PLAY THE GAMES LIKE THE OTHER COMPANIES IN THE INDUSTRY. I HAVE WITNESSED THE OWNER TRY AND CHANGE THE WAY THE LOOSER REPRESENTATIVE THINK AND JUST OVERALL CHNAGE THE GAME. I USED TO WORK MR. HILL WHO IS A COMPLETE LIAR AND DID NOT PAY ME......(he is easily identified by the nasty bubbles on the back of his neck.....completely gross!!!))

    THE OWNER FIRED ALL OF THE SCAMMERS WHO WERE LYING TO STUDENT JUST TO GET MONEY, STEALING, AND WERE EITHER DRINKING OR DOING DRUGS WHILE ON DUTY. THESE LOOSERS ARE ALL NOW WORKING FOR OTHER COMPANIES SUCH AS: ACCESS GLOBAL, 1ST SECURITY, NATIONAL SECURITY, AND ALWAYS VIGILANT.

    THERE NAMES ARE:
    MR. FREEMAN (Aloke Blake)......fat light skinned black green contacts
    MR HILL (Jerry Owens).....nasty sores on back of neck...GROSSE
    MR. SCOTT (Nathaniel Scott)......placement liar. will take ur money
    MR. EVANS (Roy Evans).......Big black guy always in a stinky suit
    MR. DAVIS (Keith Davis).....Perverted Instructor
    JERRY ALI (real name)....Job Force One
    ADDRIEN ALI (real name)......Job Force One

    do your homework.....they just run from company to company doing the same thing!!!!!!!

  • YooNEEK's question is valid, because these guys were still operating under the name LJW at 80 Broad Street when I got scammed back in mid August. I did see Aloke Blake's aka Mr. Freeman's Facebook page, and his face, one I won't forget, is posted as well on his profile. It's posted in the media section of the complaint group for LJW.

    it seems many places are scams, so which is legit and scam-free?
