Do not buy from closeoutdigital.com. I made a purchase of a Canon D7 for $869 and two days later they called to verify my order asking me why I am buying the European model? Apparently in the very small print on one of the many tabs under the camera details it says that it is the European model. So they get me for a total of $1,200 for the U.S. model. I did verify that the price was legit by searching Amazon etc. The commitment in their email was that I would see it within 10-15 days. It has now been a month and I do not have my camera. Unlike most companies that charge you when they ship the camera, closeoutdigital charges you immediatley. The continue to tell me that the device is on backorder and push the date out three days. You are suppose to receive an email comfirmation three days before you receive the device that has the tracking number. You do the math.....when you call either of the phone numbers that they currently list all you get is a recording that you have reached them after hours. The recording lists the operating hours in which is the time frame you attempt to call. I did find that if you dial 100 you will get the operator. Seems like they cant handle the amount of complaints they are receiving. The operator did quickly refund my mony but all the email that they send you says. "I have refunded you the amount agreed upon during our phone conversation." When I asked him for more details like a transaction number all he could tell me was that Iam complaining to the wrong person. When I asked him who the correct person was he said "The number on the back of my credit card." WOW, so it seems that they get your money and hope they win the dispute between them and your bank. When I mentioned the amount of fraudulent activity they have had reported he became very defensive and said " you mean the one complaint from the idiot that cant type their credit card number correctly?" I ended the conversation offering him to google his company again during his down time. The list is long and adding up daily.
