I was just contacted by Byron Bush (ID 2718) of Great Destinations saying that I have been selected via a survey I recently completed according to my demographic and age etc to be offered an amazing holiday in Florida for 4 people. This would consist of a 7day 6 night stay at a Radisson hotel in Orlando with either one of two options for 7day car rental or 2 day adult passes for Universal Studios; followed by a 4day 3 night cruise in the Bahamas with Carnival Cruises; concluding with a further 3day 2 night stay at the Hilton in Fort Lauderdale. In return, I would be asked to take 90minutes of my time to view the resort and investment options which I was under no obligation to accept. He explained that they were representing Hilton and Radisson hotels to upmarket their profile and that it was cheaper to provide free accommodation than to advertise on TV commercials. I was then transferred to another guy, Joe Danic "travel coordinator" to confirm my registration details who confirmed that all I would have to pay would be $677 today to secure the entire booking. He would then email through the documents with colourful brochures etc. Other costs to be paid later would be $299 per person per cruise for port fees, return flights, meals on land, my own entertainment, room service and phone calls. It seemed too good to be real and so I called my husband and mother for advice. Foolishly, I had confirmed my address and email details (which he already had), the name on my credit card and expiry but just before I gave him the card numbers, I changed my mind and said I did not want to continue the process. I have since seen this website and am relieved I did not give him my numbers. They surely sounded patient, friendly and had an answer for every question I asked.
