I found a $48.35 charge to my checking account. I have tried to contact what appears to be a phone number and it comes up a number not legitimate. How do I keep this from happening again and how do I get my money back?

They got me for about $30.00. Luckly my bank BB&T took care of the entire amount. I think it happened when I purchased some software (maybe "FixIt") and billed it to PayPal. Best advice is cancel your debit card and get a new one. -
