- I actually got someone to answer. They claimed I took out payday loans in 2009 (I did not)and said they were going to "turn this over to Cook County and have you arrested." I told them it was a civil matter and there would not be any criminal charges. She called me a thief and hung up on me. I called my attorney and they said this is a total scam. Oh, and the person I talked to had an AOL email address. I don't have AOL and I have no clue what address she had. So beware of these scam artists.
