I ordered three pairs of shoes online. When the order processed, the URL registered with what appeared to be Chinese characters. That seemed odd for an American company. Then, I never received a confirming email with a tracking number. The only email I received was with regard to the account which I had established on their site. In retrospect, I placed the order at 9:30 p.m. on a Saturday evening, and the email they sent immediately was dated 9:30 a.m. the following day. I should have caught that.

I contacted Visa the following day to report a suspicious activity. They wanted me to contact the vendor, so I did. The email responses from "customer service" were unprofessionally written, which was again concerning. I gave the "vendor" several chances to provide me with a tracking number, and stated that I would be reporting the transaction as fraudulent to Visa. Of course, the three pairs of shoes never arrived. The issue is pending with my bank.
