1. Mickie Chavez was our book keeper. On Nov.30-2012 she wrote herself a check for $500.00 and to it she forged the signature of her boss.
2. On 12-29-2012, Mickie forged another check: this one for $3000.00.
3. On 01-04-2013, Mickie forged another check, this one for $5000.00.

She took the money at the most sensitive time for us; when we were financially the most vulnerable, bank account showed a negative balance and our business activity at a very low level. We couldn't pay our Business expenses Dec. 2012. Our Business landlord had a meeting with us in December 2012 to discuss our future in his building. He intended to evict us for nonpayment of rent. We were over two months in arrears. (December is a slow business month for us). We're doing better now. Bryan (business owner) offered to forgive the crime if she could/would pay back the money, but she declined. I am Bryan's dad and the founder of the business, working 10-12 hours a day as a volunteer, just to help keep the business alive long enough to become established in the community. Mickey was acutely aware of the struggle, - she was the book keeper!
