I joined the website in hopes of finding a man that was stable and financially secure. Well, I was wrong. I had men contacting me. The first man that contacted me said that he was a contractor in Nigeria, lived in Los Angeles, was German, but overseas. I believed everything he told me until my aunt had warned me about a similar scam that her friend was a victim of a few years ago. So, I started asking him more personal questions. He started to get defensive. I don't think he was who he said he was. The next guy that contacted me said that he was a staff sergent with the army. I started talking to him. He said that he was from Houston, Texas even though his profile claimed that he was from a small town in Iowa. I told him I knew Houston well as I visited a friend a few times. I asked which suburn he lived in. When he told me the southeastern a red flag went up for me. I explained to him that that was just a general area. I explained what I meant by "suburb" because he said that Italian was his first language. He got upset as well. This happened with 2 Spanish speaking gentleman as well when I confronted them. I think that there is a scam going on. So, I contacted the website's support. I told them that I wanted to cancel my membership and about the issues. They did NOT address or even aknowledge my concerns. I am afraid that this is a genuine scam and some woman is going to get taken advantage of.
